Types of Photographs

High School Senior Portraiture
Carole Meyer Photography Incorporated photographs 600-800 high school seniors each year from over 40 schools.

Yearbook Photos
Most schools that produce a yearbook will need a special photograph for each graduating senior. Our studio can meet the specific requirements for each school.

College Graduation Photographs
More and more college graduates are investing in college senior portraits. It’s the perfect time to have outstanding photographs taken by Carole Meyer Photography.

Engagement Photographs
Now that you are engaged, you need a great photo for announcements, save the date cards, or invitations.

Bridal Portraits
Every bride should have a fabulous portrait, alone or with her groom. We do beautiful indoor and outdoor bridal portraits.

Couples
Our studio has requests for portraits documenting all sorts of special occasions. Of course, there is no need for a special occasion to have a wonderful photograph taken of you and your loved one.

Boyfriend or Girlfriend
We can do a whole session for you and your boyfriend/girlfriend or a “Buddy” shot during your high school senior photo session.

Anniversary Portraits
One-year, five-year and later anniversaries are a great time for a beautiful photograph with your loved one.

Prom Photography
We photograph exclusively at our studio location except for prom/dance photography. We offer simple, elegant backgrounds that highlight the subjects, not the background.

TECHNICAL

Black and White Photography
We can provide black and white film during any session, or you can order black and white prints from your color negatives. Sepia tone prints are also available from B&W negatives.

Color Photography
We use the best color film to create beautiful images with rich color saturation that will last a lifetime.

Medium Format Cameras
We use Hasselblad, one of the world’s best cameras producing a medium format negative.

Retouching
Because we use a medium format camera, we are able to retouch our negatives. Blemishes and dark circles will be removed for finished prints.

Digital versus Film
Carole Meyer Photography uses film instead of digital cameras. We want the best prints possible for our clients and have found that this is still provided with film.

Natural Light Photography
Part of the uniqueness of our studio is our use of natural light to create your photographs.

Diva Light
On darker days we have a unique lighting system that provides great light without the traditional flash.

Photography Assistant
Carole Meyer Photography is one of the few studios that always works with an assistant during your session to optimize the outcome.

Female Photographers
Carole, Kym, and Kandece bring a friendly, supportive experience for each subject’s photo session.

Photographic Make-up Artist
We have worked with our make-up artist for the past 12 years. She is highly regarded in her field and with our clients.

Hair Styling
We offer hair styling by our make-up artist, supplemented by our photo assistant during the photography session to make sure you look your very best.

Backgrounds

Indoor Traditional Backgrounds
Carole Meyer Photography has a wide variety of backgrounds, including an antique secretary, formal living room, European pine cabinet and many other unique backgrounds.

Indoor Non-traditional Backgrounds
Every client is given an opportunity to vocalize preferences. If you prefer non-traditional indoor backgrounds we have a variety of ethnic furniture, modern chairs, couches and beautiful paintings.

Indoor Photography
Our studio has 1,500 square feet of indoor photography space to create some of Oregon’s best portraits.

Outdoor Photography
The owners have developed an English garden setting including a pond, waterfall, flowers, greenery, trees, tropical locations and even a beach.

Photographs with Colorful Backgrounds
If color is what you crave, we have it! Red, yellow, turquoise, pink, purple or orange. Our studio can meet your requests with a variety of wonderful chairs, couches, pillows, flowers and more.

Water Features
Outside the studio is a great pond with a waterfall surrounded by a variety of grasses and rocks. If you want a more formal look, we have two beautiful fountains.

Portraits with Flowers
Our studio provides a variety of flowers both indoor and outdoor including dahlias, lilies, lavender and many more.

PORTRAITS WITH….

Automobiles
If you love your car, clean it up and bring it along. We will be glad to accommodate.

Instruments
Violins, flutes, trumpets, guitars, if you want a photo with your musical instrument, we have experience.

Friends
During the senior portrait session the client can have one or two “Buddy” shots taken at no additional charge.

Parents
Your photographer will be happy to take your “buddy shot” with your mother, father or both.

ALL WEATHER

Rain
Carole Meyer Photography is prepared for most weather. Don’t worry about the rain; we have multiple large tents to protect you during the outside photos.

Sun
Everyone loves a sunny day. Our photographers and assistant create beautiful images with golden light on those sunny days.

Clouds
The photographers’ favorite outside shooting conditions are those totally overcast bright Oregon days.

POSING

Traditional
Each client has the opportunity to express preferences for posing. If your family wants more classic posing, let our assistant know.

Fashion
All of the photographers have a fashion background, so if you would like portraits more unique or casual this is our specialty.
